A Leading Force in West End Drumming

Dan Day is one of the UK’s top West End drummers, renowned for his dynamic groove playing and exceptional musicality. His performances have graced some of the country’s most iconic venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and the London Palladium. With a reputation for versatility and precision, Dan has become a sought-after musician in theatre and live performance, bringing energy and finesse to every stage he plays.

More About Dan

Dan Day began drumming at the age of three, following in the footsteps of his father, Brendan Day of The Steve Gibbons Band. After early training at Chetham’s School of Music, he went on to study at the Royal College of Music in London, learning from world-class teachers and performing at prestigious venues including Bridgewater Hall, Windsor Castle, and Chester Cathedral.

A versatile musician, Dan co-founded the folk quartet 4Square, performing to crowds of 20,000 at Fairport’s Cropredy Convention and touring internationally across Europe.

In musical theatre, Dan has played drums and percussion in major West End productions, including Evita, Dear Evan Hansen, Sunset Blvd, My Neighbor Totoro & Mean Girls. He made his West End debut in Come From Away (Phoenix Theatre), which won the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Music.

Dan is endorsed by Schlagwerk Percussion and Vater Drumsticks, and is widely recognised for his dynamic groove, musicality, and versatility across genres.
